ACADEMICS The members of this student body come from a wide range of cultural, denominational, and social backgrounds. We find our common center and unity in the person of the Lord Jesus Christ and desire to be totally committed to Him in our teaching, beliefs, and lifestyle. All students at New Life Christian Academy receive the opportunity to obtain one of the finest educations in the tri-county area. You can be sure your student will receive an outstanding education that will prepare them for their next level of education. In grades K4 through 8th NLCA exclusively uses A Beka Book curriculum. A Beka Book provides a comprehensive, quality curriculum and materials written from a Christian perspective. Because we are a Christian school and not just another private school, all students have daily Bible classes. In elementary we use the A Beka Book Bible curriculum while middle school students have a combination of A Beka and Positive Action curricula. Every other Wednesday students have the opportunity to attend a chapel service where they will be taught the Word of God by children’s pastors and youth pastors from New Life Christian Center and other area churches. All of our teachers care deeply about their students. While they take their responsibilities to educate their students seriously, they also care about their spiritual and emotional well-being. NLCA School Closed May 2024 April 12, 2024 Ecclesiastes 3:1 says, “To every thing, there is a season and a time to every purpose under the heaven.” It is New Life Church’s honor to be the home of New Life Christian Academy for forty-five years. In those forty-five years, we had thousands of students attend. These students heard the Gospel preached on a daily basis while receiving a quality education. New Life provided a caring, loving environment with staff and teachers that ministered love, as well as provided acceptance and encouragement to each student. We have the privilege of seeing and hearing about our students as they have grown to be good citizens, parents, and some grandparents. They entered into every field of employment from doctors to engineers, mechanics, and accountants, as well as missionaries, pastors, and the military. We are proud of the accomplishments that New Life Christian Academy has made and the contributions it gave to our community and to the world as a whole. But, as Ecclesiastes tells us, there are seasons for everything. We believe the season for New Life Church to continue to have a Christian school has come to an end. Therefore, we will not re-open for the 2024-2025 school year. If you already enrolled your student for the 2024-2025 school year, you will receive a full refund. This is not an easy decision; however, we believe it is the best decision. We know that when God closes a door another one opens. We trust God to provide for all our parents and students as they choose new educational opportunities. We also trust God as He leads this church into a new era. We want to thank all the parents, staff, teachers, volunteers, community leaders, and businesses who generously gave of their time and resources over the past forty-five years. We are blessed to have had such amazing support from so many people. Trusting in Jesus, NLCA Administration

- About | NLCAmillbrook
ALL ABOUT NLCA Welcome to New Life Christian Academy's website. We are so glad you stopped by to visit. Our History New Life Christian Academy was founded in 1979 as a ministry of New Life Church. Growing from an original class of six students., NLCA has remained true to its roots while moving ahead for God’s glory. NLCA provided the River Region with a unique Christian school experience, having chosen to focus all its considerable resources and talents in training students K-4 through the eighth grade. These students receive a quality education that is fully integrated with God’s Word and Christian principles. Because NLCA was a ministry of New Life Church, from 1979 - 2024 ,the church provided classrooms, utilities, equipment and other items necessary to the school’s operation with tuition and registration fees used as a supplement to the cost. Furthermore, it was the policy of NLCA to engage only personnel of Christian dedication, recognized educational training, and successful experience who complemented the student’s Christian home training. NLCA accepted students regardless of race, color, national or ethnic origin to all the rights, privileges, programs, and activities generally accorded or made available to students. It did not discriminated in admission policies, educational policies, athletic or other school administered programs. NLCA closed its doors following the completion of the 2023-2024 academic year. We were pleased to minister to our community for 45 years of Christian education. While we are no longer ministering through NLCA, we are excited to move into the next phase of ministry to our community. Vision & Values We are an extension of the ministry of New Life Church. We cooperate with the home to educate the student. God is the source of all TRUTH. True education must be based on His revealed Word. Curriculum should provide opportunity for each student, as a special creation of God, to be educated as an individual with his or her unique abilities, personality, & potential. Purpose is to develop in students the "mind of Christ" (Philippians 2:5) so that God's Truth becomes an inseparable part of their lives & thinking processes. Principal's Message Thank you for taking the time to stop by New Life’s website. We want to answer the question: Why New Life for my student? We are here to prepare students for life in a rapidly changing world. James Harvey stated, “Schools have always been about developing students for life and work—and life is much more than earning a living; it is also living a life.” Our priorities at New Life are four-fold: Christ First! Academic Excellence. Arts and Athletics. Accomplished in a safe environment. We apply these four areas so that our students are creative, innovators, learn to think outside the box, have vision and imagination, and be inspired to lead. Our teachers and staff are on the frontlines working with our students. We hire teachers that serve God and others, have a love for the students, are ministry-minded, and have the right skill sets and education to teach. Be Blessed! Ira Q. Collier III Principal, New Life Christian Academy
