FIFTH GRADE

Students in fifth grade will grow their skills of research, problem solving, and critical thinking. They will complete a first research paper along with other reports throughout the year to improve writing and research skills. In Math, they develop critical thinking and problem solving skills while working through geometry, complex equations, and introduction to percentages relating to fractions. In History, students will gain an understanding of cultural history and both historical and current missions efforts in the Middle East. During the final quarter, students will learn ways the body works and fuels itself in Health with an in-depth study of their muscular, respiratory and circulatory systems.
